For my first Drugs at the Drugstore post, I will be reviewing Dr Teals Cannabis Sativa Hemp Seed Oil Body Scrub.
Now some backstory, I am a scrub fanatic. I absolutely LOVE body scrubs, and exfoliate about 3-4 times a week. They just make me feel good, fresh, and smooth as hell! I have used a variety of scrubs, from the Tik Tok popular Tree Hut, to even making my own at home. Scrubs exfoliate the outer, and usually tougher, layer of our skin. I will always stand by scrubs, and I recommend you try any type, really.
I had already had my eye on the Dr Teals Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub, and while at Target looking for it, I just so happened upon the Sativa Oil scrub. It was an easy purchase at just $4.99. I figured, what the heck. At its best, it’ll leave my skin feeling and smelling good. And for under $5, it was a risk I was willing to take. Immediately when you open it, you are consumed with the enchanting smell of Bergamot. Not a usually popular scent, but one that is my favorite, I was immediately impressed. The smell filled my shower and I was excited about feeling it on my skin. Hemp seed oil doesn’t really have much of a smell, but you can feel it when you actually touch it.
When you scoop some up in your fingers, you can immediately feel that it is a gritty scrub, reminiscent of walnut shells, but not grinded so finely. It was thick, and smooth, and did I mention the smell? Because it emphasizes skin repair, I used it basically on my entire body, including my lips and neck. It was gritty enough so that I felt it exfoliating me, but soft enough where it didn’t feel like sandpaper. The mixture the oil is in is rich and hydrating, and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily. I was genuinely impressed by the great quality, especially since it only cost $5. Hemp seed oil is a product that should be found in your beauty routine, and this scrub makes it easy to incorporate.
If you don’t already exfoliate, it might seem a little rough for you. I recommend you don’t apply it with a heavy hand. Instead light slide your hand up the length of your legs and arms with soft sweeps, only using circular motions on your elbows and knees. Once you start consistently exfoliating, you will find your dry, trouble spots. In terms of scrubs, this one is great for beginners and those that aren’t very familiar with many scrubs.
If you’re looking for an affordable, good quality body scrub, I definitely recommend Dr Teals Cannabis Sativa body scrub. Buy it from this link to help your girl earn some money! Let me know if you’ve tried it and what you thought!
